Need assistance in developing a manual for Kentucky Prosecutors to assist in making appropriate bail recommendations based risks to public safety as opposed to defendant's ability to post a monetary bond. Key elements include screening by an experienced prosecutor, a recommendation based upon risk factors, and an opportunity to make alternative to incarceration recommendations suchas treatment, drug or mental health courts, or deferred prosecution.
BJA will identify a provider to facilitate JRI peer-to-peer technical assistance events. Similar events were held in February 2015 to share ideas, resources, and tools from sites involved in JRI efforts. This TA will expand those events to more sites involved in JRI activity.

The Local Public Safety Coordinating Council (LPSCC) is spearheading Multnomah County's collaborative response to the State of Oregon's Justice Reinvestment efforts set forth in HB 3194.
