Unfortunately, in the criminal justice system we are rank as United States most disparite county between African-American and white populations. Dane county is piloting a new Community Restorative Court aimed at the 17-25 year old population. r

Assistance in bringing a national speaker to our conference on child abuse in a cultural context.
Dane County used funds to pay for speaker. All other funding was provided by University of Wisconsin-American Family Children's Hospital, American Bar Association Racial Justice Improvement Project, and the University of Wisconsin-Department of Pediatrics.
Milestones are an element, activity, work product, or key task associated with completing the TTA (e.g. kick-off meeting, collect data from stake holders, deliver initial data analysis).

9. Understand how to collect appropriate data that can be easily anlyzed for a program evaluation.
The goals listed above with assist Dane County in making our pilot community restorative court a successful one. This, in turn, may lead Dane County to further expand the initiative. The ability to see courts in action, talk with and learn from other stakeholders, and establish a robust evaluation of our community court will be critical in this effort.
