Priority Area 1: Engage and educate Kansas stakeholders on Justice Reinvestment policies and legislation to promote oversight and sustainability. Update: Three bills relating to JRI policy recommendations were introduced in the Kansas legislature but are all still in their respective committees and have not moved to a floor vote. The legislation is intended to extend early release options for those on probation, enhance good time credits for people in jail, and allow people with felony drug convictions to access food assistance programs.
