In November, CSG Justice Center staff presented to the Joint Committee on Corrections and Juvenile Justice Oversight in Topeka, Kansas. The presentation was a summary of Kansas’s JRI project, progress regarding implementation, and recommended next steps for sustainability. 
Additionally, CSG Justice Center staff met with stakeholders in Kansas during the on-site visit to receive additional feedback on implementation progress and needs within the state. Furthermore, CSG Justice Center staff discussed ongoing technical assistance opportunities through March 2023.
11/29: Meeting with Kate Davis (Director of Regulatory Affairs, Office of the Governor) and Dominique Sanchez (Policy Analyst, Office of the Governor) to discuss the implementation status of JRI policies, subaward spending, and remaining technical assistance needs. 
11/29: Meeting with Jonathan Ogletree (Chairman, PRB) to discuss the implementation status of JRI policies, subaward spending, and remaining technical assistance needs.
11/29: Meeting with Chief Justice Luckert, Shawn Jergensen (Special Counsel to the Chief Justice, Kansas Judicial Branch), and Ashley Jarmer (General Counsel to the Chief Justice, Kansas Judicial Branch) to discuss the implementation status of JRI policies, subaward spending, and remaining technical assistance needs.
11/29: Meeting with Scott Schultz (Executive Director, KSSC) to discuss data system challenges, subaward spending, and remaining technical assistance needs.
11/29: Meeting with Representative Stephen Owens (Co-Chair, Joint Committee on Corrections and Juvenile Justice Oversight) to discuss the implementation and sustainability of JRI policies and remaining technical assistance needs in the state.
11/30: Presentation to the Joint Committee on Corrections and Juvenile Justice Oversight about the JRI process in Kansas, implementation challenges, and sustainability of JRI policies. In attendance was Senator Molly Baumgardner (Chair, Joint Committee on Corrections and Juvenile Justice Oversight), Senator Ethan Corson (Democrat, District 7), Senator John Doll (Republican, District 39), Senator Oletha Faust-Goudeau (Democrat, District 29), Senator Kristen O’Shea (Republican, District 18), Representative Sydney Carlin (Democrat, District 66), Representative Dennis “Boog” Highberger (Democrat, District 46), Representative Kyle Hoffman (Republican, District 116), Representative Jo Ella Hoye (Democrat, District 17), Representative John Resman (Republican, District 121), and Representative Eric Smith, (Republican, District 76)."
