In July, CSG Justice Center staff continued working with the KSSC, KDOC, OJA, and the PRB on data collection and analysis.?

CSG Justice Center staff created and delivered a training presentation for Kansas supervision agencies to use to train their staff on the new MOU requirements for transferring supervision.

CSG Justice Center staff co-hosted with the KSSC two virtual training opportunities. The training engaged and educated attorneys, community supervision staff, and treatment providers on the importance of diversion for people with behavioral health needs and to help promote the RAFT program, which is a drug abuse treatment program for certain people who have entered a prosecutor diversion program. The total number of attendees at both trainings totaled 124, with positive feedback from those in attendance who stated the training was informative.

Update: In January, CSG Justice Center staff began drafting a KS Recovery from Addiction Funded Treatment (RAFT) training presentation in conjunction with the KSSC. The KSSC staff will present on the RAFT program, which is a JRI policy that allows for prosecutor diversion programs, while CSG Justice Center staff discuss the need for diversion in Kansas and effectiveness of diversion programs.
