In collaboration with sub-grantee AEquitas, the IACP is partnering to deliver a workshop at the Cook County Human Trafficking Task Force Conference on human trafficking out of prisons, titled "The Prison Pipeline: Recruitment from the Criminal Justice System," on Thursday, August 8, 2019.

In-person delivery of 2.5-day training on Labor Trafficking Investigations and Prosecutions for Law Enforcement and Prosecutors to enhance law enforcement and prosecutors' ability to successfully identify, investigate, and prosecute labor trafficking cases, in St. Louis County, Missouri, in collaboration with the St. Louis County Police Department, utilizing the facility of the Maryland Heights Police Department.
Throughout the period of January 2019 through June 2019, this project received and addressed, via email and phone communication, requests for information on anti-human trafficking training, technical assistance, and resources. The project staff tracked, addressed, and has kept record of all requests addressed through funding from award 2017-VT-BX-K101.

Event that will convene law enforcement leaders to 1) examine current response tactics and strategies for human trafficking; 2) identify successful efforts and ongoing challenges; and 3) discuss opportunities and ideas for innovation. Including the OJP Conference Cost Request, logistical planning, programmatic planning, and more.

On January 18, 2019 the Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA), U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) and the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) hosted an online task force welcome and project orientation call for the six BJA grantees from the purpose area 1 FY2018 Enhanced Collaborative Model (ECM) BJA/OVC-funded human trafficking task forces.
On January 18, 2019 the Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA), U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) and the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) hosted an online task force welcome and project orientation call for the 11 BJA grantees from the Purpose Area 2 and 3 FY2018 Enhanced Collaborative Model (ECM) BJA/OVC-funded human trafficking task forces.
Phone call with members of the WashACT task force (Seattle, WA) and TTA providers from IACP, OVC-TTAC, and staff from OVC. WashACT task force members shared some concerns with TTA providers regarding ongoing challenges to collaboration, trust, and relationship-building among the task force's partner agencies. This phone call is a part of a larger effort to develop a coordinated technical assistance plan for the task force in partnership with OVC-TTAC.
