The conference is open to spouses, life partners, parents, adult children, and siblings of fallen firefighters honored at the National Memorial in Emmitsburg, Maryland.
The conference will address the changes that have challenged family members through their loss and provide strategies to help them optimize health and build resilience. They will learn about navigating milestones, managing stress, mindfulness, and self-care.

Analysis Area 1: Examine state and county criminal justice investments over time to assess how the state’s spending aligns with public safety priorities.
Update: On December 10, 2021, CSG Justice Center staff facilitated a peer-to-peer learning event where Minnesota stakeholders heard directly from corrections staff in Oregon about how Oregon funds its probation system. CSG Justice Center staff also delivered a short presentation to provide a brief overview of the Oregon, Texas, and Pennsylvania systems.

The PRC is contracting with the Message Agency to expand what is currently a portal and networking site for PREA Coordinators and PREA Academy participants into the primary portal for all stakeholders, including PREA auditors, TIPS grantees, site-based BJA grantees, and contracted technical assistance providers. This launch will replace the existing outdated PRC Training and Resource Portal.

The Taking the Call Virtual Conference brought people together from across the U.S. to delve into how jurisdictions are serving as laboratories for innovation to ensure that emergency calls receive the appropriate response. The virtual conference explored how communities are working to build more comprehensive crisis systems including the opportunities and challenges of emerging community responder models and whether or how the approach may improve community health, lessen the burden on law enforcement, and reduce unnecessary justice system contact.

Over this reporting period, we are working on numerous configurations to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of our central Salesforce database. This includes finalizing an automated integration between our new LMS and Salesforce to ensure we capture records of all enrollments and courses, building a robust mechanism for Field Training Program staff to evaluate auditor candidates, importing all historical exam and response data, and many other small changes to ensure the system remains efficient and effective.

During this reporting period, in addition to documentation and quotes sent by email for approval, the following documentation was uploaded and submitted to IIR through the document intake portal:
• 37 agencies submitted quotes for approval,
• 1 agency submitted initial subaward documentation,
• 4 agencies submitted proofs of training,
• 1 agency submitted a notice of completion, and
• 54 invoices for reimbursement were received.
