In July, CSG Justice Center staff, along with expert consultant, met with select advisory group members to discuss general next steps for the project. Drafts of deliverables previously shared with BJA are pending review. Additionally, the project team continues to discuss potential titles for the proposed deliverables.

CSG Justice Center staff held meetings in May to discuss the project timeline, next steps, and project team action items. Also, in May, CSG Justice Center staff, along with expert consultant, worked to complete the first clean drafts of the project deliverables. The deliverable drafts went through the first round of internal reviews by the CSG Justice Center leadership team, and the project team adjusted the deliverables based on feedback. Outstanding questions were discussed and addressed, as needed. Drafts of the deliverables were shared with BJA as well.

In April, CSG Justice Center staff, along with expert consultant, worked to complete the first clean drafts of the project deliverables. The deliverable drafts went through the first round of internal reviews by the CSG Justice Center leadership team, and the project team has begun to review the feedback received. Feedback will be incorporated and any outstanding questions will be discussed and addressed as needed.

In March, CSG Justice Center staff, along with expert consultant, worked to incorporate the compiled feedback provided by the advisory group into the Risk Assessment Guidelines companion document. The project team also continued working on other project deliverables, including reviewing the (1) one-page, user-friendly document jurisdictions can use to relay development and validation results in a simple visual manner; and (2) the two-pager for the general public, which explains how the guidelines can improve accuracy, fairness, and transparency in risk and needs assessment tools.

In February, CSG Justice Center staff, along with expert consultant hosted the fourth working group meeting for the Risk Assessment Guidelines project. Additionally, staff gathered feedback from the advisory group and continued to develop the draft of the Risk Assessment Guidelines companion document and other project deliverables.

The project team held an internal progress meeting, which included select advisory group members. The project team also discussed the structure for the fourth working group virtual meeting.

In December, CSG Justice Center staff along with expert consultant (1) continued to develop the draft of the Risk Assessment Guidelines document, (2) reviewed and continued to develop internal drafts of other deliverables proposed for this project, (3) followed up with the advisory group to reschedule the final working group virtual meeting, and (4) developed an initial draft of the Risk Assessment Guidelines companion document.

In November, CSG Justice Center staff, along with expert consultant, (1) continued to further develop the draft of the Risk Assessment Guidelines document, (2) developed the first internal draft of other deliverables proposed for this project, and (3) followed up with the advisory group to provide a brief update and next steps for the final working group virtual meeting.
