CSG Justice Center staff presented to the legislatively lead Utah Reentry Coalition meeting.
CSG Justice Center staff conducted TA calls on 12/5, 12/12, and 12/20 with NDCS staff, including the Assistant Deputy Director – Reentry and Senior Project Manager on Wellbeing Development and CSG staff to develop a detailed workplan for launching the Transform Nebraska coalition.
In the coming months, CSG Justice Center staff will Launch Transform Nebraska coalition and associated working groups.
CSG Justice Center staff sent an email on 12/13/24 from about personnel transitions at the Missouri Department of Corrections (MO DOC) at the end of the year. In person connection at the SCA conference.
In the coming months CSG Justice Center staff will Continue data work. Present at SCA conference. Continue to prepare for EM presentation in 2025.
CSG Justice Center staff had TA call with AL team on 12/9; Virtual presentation of findings to the AL Reentry Commission on 12/9.
December 16: CSG Justice Center staff attended the December meeting of the Legislative Recidivism Reduction Task Force to deliver a presentation with DOC data analysis findings and final policy recommendations. (16 participants representing 14 agencies)
October 24: CSG Justice Center staff attended the October meeting of the Legislative Recidivism Reduction Task Force to deliver a presentation about court data in Arkansas. (16 participants representing 14 agencies)
October 24: CSG Justice Center staff met with Senator Clarke Tucker to discuss logistical next steps for the remaining presentations and drafting of the task force's final recommendations. (1 person representing 2 agencies)
October 24: CSG Justice Center staff met with Cathleen Compton (Judge for the 6th Judicial Circuit) to hear her insights on recidivism in Arkansas and its effect on the criminal justice system. (1 person representing 1 agency)
CSG Justice Center staff emailed the Missouri DOC on 11/12/24 for updates on Reentry 2030 goals. The updates included:
- Allocated resources to increase access to birth certificates before release: $300,000
- Adopted a process to obtain written driver’s license examination before release. These services expanded to 6/19 correctional centers with, DOC will need to find the total number.
