The NDCRC operates several email inboxes for staff and designated projects. Staff field inquiries from treatment court practitioners as well as monitoring inbox-specific inquiries regarding the NDCRC, Painting the Current Picture survey, and Drug Court Review journal. Inquiries range from single-response questions to more labor-intensive continuous assistance or researching targeting information. Response times range from minutes to days depending on the level of inquiry.

In compliance with our BJA funding agreement, the NDCRC attended NADCP's RISE23 conference in-person in Houston, Texas, sponsoring a booth at the exhibitor level. NDCRC staff traveled by plane and shipped materials to distribute at the booth. Seven full-time staff members and two graduate students attended the conference from Sunday, June 25 to Thursday, June 29. Staff were present at the booth for two and a half days to network with attendees, answer questions, and demonstrate resources available from the NDCRC.

As a condition of funding, the NDCRC will conduct the Painting the Current Picture survey every two years on behalf of the Bureau of Justice Assistance. Data collection for the next round of this survey began in February 2023, requesting data for calendar year 2022. Surveys were developed for thirteen different court types, and a different survey was constructed based on whether the recipient state had a data Management Information System (MIS). A total of twenty-six surveys were developed, and the NDCRC has provided a guide for completing each individual survey.
