CJI will conduct interviews to determine prosecutors' understanding, perception, and experience of the JRI process. That information will be used to increase prosecutor engagement in future JRI efforts. Pilot interviews will be conducted with two prosecutor offices. CJI and BJA will use the information gleaned from those interviews to discuss the possibility of additional study or other next steps to engage prosecutors in the JRI process.

NAICJA staff & consultants presented at the HTWC Enhancement Training on September 26-27, 2022 on Developing Collaborative Models of Linking Healing Court Participants to Legal Services and Veterans' Outreach and Legal Assistance in Rural and Geographically Vast and Diverse Areas. Additionally, NAICJA moderated a Roundtable/Symposium session to discuss challenges/barriers and suggested legal service needs for AI/AN Veterans, and receive feed back on the Native Veterans project logo design.

Monthly meetings with the individual pilot project sites, Oklahoma Indian Legal Services (OILS) that include Quapaw Nation Tribal Court in order to plan and implement a holistic defense pilot project.

CSG Justice Center Staff attended the International Association of Chiefs of Police Annual Training conference and delivered a presentation on law enforcement responses to homelessness. This session explored practical strategies communities across the U.S. are implementing to build and strengthen Police-Mental Health Collaborations to respond to homelessness, as featured in the recently released modules on Responding to Homelessness in the PMHC Toolkit, a key resource for the field provided by the U.S. Department of Justice Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA).

CSG Justice Center Staff attended National Association of Drug Court Professionals Annual Training conference and delivered a presentation on the role of problem solving courts in making connections to housing. This session taught participants how to build partnerships between courts and housing providers, and will presented several strategies to fund and sustain these partnerships. It also featured examples from Austin, TX and Cuyahoga County, OH of courts who are successfully making connections to housing and services for people with behavioral health needs.
