On June 11, 2024, members of the State and Local Anti-Terrorism Training (SLATT) Program team, and four subject-matter experts (SMEs), delivered the first of two webinars titled, “How to Build a Threat Assessment Threat Management Team.” The 90-minute webinar was based on a Prepare & Ready: Executive Planning for Agencies in Response to Extremism (PREPARE) training lesson, and was attended by law enforcement executives and mid-level managers.

On June 13, 2024, a SLATT team member and two SMEs provided the second of two technical assistance training deliveries to regional law enforcement and criminal justice practitioners in Chicago, Illinois. The SLATT DISRUPT training was comprised of the SLATT Program overview, a high-level threat overview, the “First Amendment-Protected Events Refresher,” and the “Organized Violent Extremism at Protest-Style Events” lesson.

On June 12, 2024, a member of the SLATT Program team and two SMEs provided the first of two technical assistance training deliveries to regional law enforcement and criminal justice practitioners at Chicago Police Headquarters in Chicago, Illinois. The training was requested by members of the Illinois State Police, in coordination with a U.S. Secret Service representative, in preparation for the 2024 Democratic National Convention, which will be hosted in Chicago, Illinois, on August 19–22, 2024.

During the month of June 2024, 111 new SLATT user accounts were created. Of the new accounts, 59 were approved as SLATT direct accounts, 38 were created via RISS program credentials, and 14 were created via Federal Bureau of Investigation, Law Enforcement Enterprise Portal, program credentials.

The SLATT team addressed approximately 96 inquiries received from users submitting questions or requests using the “Contact Us” button on the slatt.org website. Inquiries related to SLATT training, resources, webinars, publications, login issues, website access, and general questions.

On May 29, 2024, a SLATT team member, two SMEs, and local representatives from the Ohio Statewide Terrorism Analysis and Crime Center, and the Ohio Traffic Safety Resource Prosecutors, provided an in-person PROTECT training course to members of the Stark County Sheriff’s Office and local law enforcement personnel, in Massillon, Ohio.

On May 16 and 23, 2024 , respectively, a SLATT SME provided two in-person PREPARE training deliveries to leaders of the Eugene, Oregon , first responder community. The training event was hosted at the Eugene Police, Fire, and 911 Training Center and consisted of the lesson titled, “The First Responder's View of the San Bernardino, California, Terrorist Attack.” Each presentation included a SLATT Program overview and a comprehensive briefing of the December 2, 2015, terrorist attack at the Inland Regional Center in San Bernardino, California.
