Task 1. Provide policy research expertise and management support to Global and CICC leadership, the DFO, and the DDFO regarding Global policy issues and future direction.
For priorities recommended by Global, the GESC, and the CICC, facilitate the completion of a Priority Recommendation Form and manage submission of recommendations to BJA for approval.
As a result of the DHS–IACP Intelligence Summit held in Alexandria, Virginia, in September 2022, the after-action report published in later 2022, and in consultation with Global DFO, GAC and CICC leadership, CICC members voted on and approved the DHS proposal to initiate a project to address the findings and to advance the recommendations as identified during the Summit. Work on the task teams continued during the current reporting period.

Intelligence Summit Task Teams
The intelligence summit task teams continued to meet during the current reporting period. During this reporting period, IIR continued managing the CICC’s six Intelligence Summit Focus Area Task Teams. In January 2024, task DHS prioritized team deliverables for completion.
1. Conduct outreach activities to communicate Global-supported priorities, solutions, and recommendations and collaborate with BJA and other partners to coordinate the design and delivery of TTA to the field regarding awareness and implementation of recommended solutions.
Global outreach and communication activities include pushing information out to the Global audience through the following mechanisms:

General inquiries and questions, as well as requests for one-on-one Technical Assistance, are processed through our Virtual Help Desk (TeamDynamix).
On September 19, 2024, members of the SLATT Program team and two SMEs provided another virtual delivery of the DISRUPT training course lesson titled, “Homegrown Violent Extremist–Threat to Law Enforcement, The Jesse Hartnett Ambush Story.” The delivery followed the same format as the September 9, 2024, delivery, and was hosted by the Regional Organized Crime Information Center (ROCIC), RISS Center.
On September 9, 2024, members of the State and Local Anti-Terrorism Training (SLATT) Program team and two subject-matter experts (SMEs) delivered a virtual training titled, “Homegrown Violent Extremist–Threat to Law Enforcement, The Jesse Hartnett Ambush Story.” The 180-minute presentation consisted of a lesson from the “Detect & Interdict: Specialized Roles in Uncovering and Preventing Terrorism” (DISRUPT) training course curriculum and was hosted by the New England State Police Information Network (NESPIN), Regional Information Sharing Systems (RISS) Center.
