Objective 2: Technology Development Technical Assistance Recidiviz presented the tool to PADOC leadership for feedback and approval and continues to refine the tool through UXR with trusted testers and the incorporation of real data. PADOC leadership is supportive of the tool and is eager to see it move forward.

Objective 1: Individualized Technical Assistance to Grantees On April 9, PA DOC successfully presented to 40 conference attendees on the Intensive Community Supervision (ICS) program at the Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency Criminal Justice Advisory Board Conference. The presentation contained embedded video testimonies from current program participants, annuitant case managers, and parole agents discussing the effect the ICS programs have had on them. PA DOC reported that they have hired the case manager at the Pittsburgh Office, and all new staff began on April 15.

"Objective 1: Individualized Technical Assistance to Grantees In March, the PADOC grant transitioned from TA Coach Megan Pfeiffer to TA Coach Tiana Smith, who was provided with a comprehensive programmatic background and updates to ensure the transition did not impact project activities. On March 26, PADOC submitted a grant award modification (GAM) to BJA for a change in location from the Philadelphia District to Chester District.

Objective 2: Technology Development Technical Assistance The tool is in development and Recidiviz is working with trusted testers to better understand how the tool will effectively meet the needs and serve the workflows of parole agents across Pennsylvania. The finalized tool mocks were approved by BJA, and Recidiviz will continue to monitor and incorporate BJA feedback as the tool goes live.

Objective 1: Individualized Technical Assistance to Grantees In February, CSG Justice Center staff learned that Philadelphia has been experiencing an uptick in violent crime, leading the PA Governor’s team to work closely with PADOC on wanting to implement a different program (Swift, Certain, and Fair) in Philadelphia in response. The program in Philadelphia will be implemented with individuals currently under intensive supervision.

Objective 2: Technology Development Technical Assistance In February, Recidiviz continued working with trusted testers to better understand how the tool will effectively meet the needs and serve the workflows of parole agents across Pennsylvania. Recidiviz also finalized back-end development of the tool and began moving toward front-end development.Â

Objective 1:Â Individualized Technical Assistance to Grantees In January, CSG Justice Center staff learned that PADOC had not yet posted the job positions. The deputy secretary for the Office of Field Services has been out of the office, so the team has been unable to move forward with hiring. The deputy district director of the Pittsburgh District Office approved the final position description and format, and it will be ready to be posted once leadership approves.

Objective 2: Technology Development Technical Assistance In January, Recidiviz focused on refining the mocks for the tool and scoping out the technical work required to develop and build the administrative supervision tool. Recidiviz began weekly meetings with two primary trusted testers who will provide immediate guidance and feedback as Recidiviz designs the tool and performs the data analysis and coding necessary.
