Objective 1: Develop standards for local jurisdictions and state criminal justice agencies that will result in data being accurately and comprehensively aggregated at the state and national levels. (Tier 2 metrics and TIGs)
In July, CSG Justice Center staff completed the analysis of the Tier 2 public feedback and began formatting it into a series of recommendations that the subcommittees will consider in their next meeting.?

Objective 5: Develop and run a national campaign to educate criminal justice agency leaders, policymakers, and the public about the Justice Counts metrics. (Website Work)
In July, CSG Justice Center staff worked towards finalizing the design of the prison dashboard for BJA approval.?CSG's Research Division also took steps to create an internal data visualization team that will work to make dashboards and data stories happen quickly and internally.?

The second session of the Reducing Housing Barriers to Jail Diversion Community of Practice introduced participants to diversion opportunities that can occur before people ever come into contact with the courts through community-led and law enforcement efforts. Participants had the opportunity to discuss their experiences engaging in these kinds of efforts previously and learned how they can practically apply the Zero Returns to Homelessness initiative to support these efforts in the future.

The third and final session of the Reducing Housing Barriers to Jail Diversion Community of Practice explored the role that courts, such as specialty courts, can play in facilitating diversion interventions. This session highlighted the different intervention models available through the court systems and their coordination with services, such as Intensive Case Management and embedded clinicians. During this session, participants discussed current jail diversion efforts in their communities and the barriers they face.

A review of the history of staff wellness programs in criminal justice agencies, including available research on their effectiveness. This webinar will focus specifically on peer support programs, which pair staff members struggling with personal or professional stress with a colleague who has been trained to provide support. Learn about the benefits to individual staff and the entire agency, including an increased sense of community and removing the workplace stigma around asking for help.
