CSG Justice Center staff met with Stacey Farnam (Public Protection Coordinator, Louisville Criminal Justice Commission) and Dorislee Gilbert (Prosecutor, Jefferson County Attorney’s Office) to discuss project updates and learn more about how the court system in Louisville treats those who commit domestic violence. Priority Area 1?Update: CSG Justice Center staff continued analyzing domestic violence incidents from the Kentucky State Police?s compilation of electronic JC-3 forms, merging files to identify the nature of each incident as either intimate partner violence or other family violence. A sizable amount of demographic data was found to be missing from the JC-3 forms, and staff are investigating whether to impute the missing data so that an analysis of trends by race and gender can be conducted. Additionally, the research staff continued working with data provided by the DOC.
