TLPI participates in monthly VAWA ITWG Judges calls with the National Congress of American Indians. These calls focus on providing TA to the judges for tribes that have implemented VAWA 2013 Special Domestic Violence Criminal Jurisdiction and VAWA 2022 Special Tribal Criminal Jurisdiction.

TLPI participates in monthly VAWA ITWG Defense Counsel calls with the National Congress of American Indians. These calls focus on providing TA to the defense counsel/attorneys for tribes that have implemented VAWA 2013 Special Domestic Violence Criminal Jurisdiction.

TLPI worked in conjunction with the National Congress of American Indians to host monthly calls with the tribes who have implemented VAWA Special Domestic Violence Criminal Jurisdiction. The calls provide a forum for tribes to discuss any concerns, problems, and/or questions regarding their exercise of Special Domestic Violence Criminal Jurisdiction. Tribes also provide suggestions for future TTA.

IIR hosted a Prosecutors Roundtable on November 19, 2020, which included presentations from PSP sites Amarillo, Anniston/Oxford, and Cleveland, as well as alumni site Detroit, Michigan, as an opportunity to engage with the PCoP in planning for future virtual TTA. Roundtable discussion and presentation topics included paperless case management, crime strategies units, officer-involved shooting investigations, and strategies for leveraging technology.

The Washington County County District Attorney's Office requested technical assistance to enhance its prosecutorial wellness policies and practices and to revise adjudication policies. PCE was selected to fulfil this request and delivered a final report with recommendations in September 2021.

We participated in an American Indian Justice Conference (AIJC) Planning and coordination call on 05/14/2020 with FVTC, TJI, CCI, and BJA to address various aspects of conference planning and coordination among BJA Tribal TTA. Topics addressed include conference theme, plenary topics, break out session topics for each track, and conference presentation schedule.

NDCRC will disseminate surveys to local coordinators in states where they are primarily responsible for maintaining records, i.e. no statewide reporting system exists. These surveys address the structure (e.g., funding, personnel, partnerships), operation (e.g., services offered, eligibility, decision making), and successes and challenges (e.g., adherence to or deviance from best practices; racial, ethnic, and gender disparity or equity).

NDCRC will host a webinar with BJA Policy Advisor Gregory Torain to provide updates on changes to the BJA FY 2020 Adult Drug Court and Veterans Treatment Court Discretionary Grant Program solicitation. The session will incorporate an interactive question and answer session; it will also be recorded and available for viewing after initial broadcasting.
