Operational Oversights/Audits

The West Virginia Division of Corrections (DOC) requested technical assistance to address a range of current challenges, including a rising prison population, limited resources, staffing shortages, facilities considerations, institutional gang and drug activity, and inmate-on-inmate violence. BJA NTTAC is currently still identifying potential TA providers to fulfill this request, which will be transferred to the Option Year 1 (OY1) contract.

A site visit of the Springfield, MA site was conducted on November 2, 2016 by the LISC TA team. The purpose of the visit was to assess the sites Implementation phase/process and provide TTA as needed.

A site visit of the BCJI Baton Rouge site was conducted on November 22, 2016 by the LISC TA team. The purpose of the visit was to assess the sites implementation phase/process and provide TTA as needed.

A site visit of the Baltimore - Promise Heights, MD BCJI site was conducted on November 18, 2016 by the LISC TA team. The purpose of the visit was to assess the sites planning phase/process and provide TTA as needed.

A site visit of the Hayward, CA BCJI site was conducted on October 17, 2016 by the LISC TA team. The purpose of the visit was to assess the sites planning phase/process and provide TTA as needed.

A site visit of the Langley Park, MD BCJI site was conducted on September 6, 2016 by the LISC TA team. The purpose of the visit was to assess the sites planning phase/process and provide TTA as needed.

October 20th: LISC conducted site visit for Corning

October 18th: LISC conducted site visit for San Francisco

October 17th: LISC conducted the sole remaining FY 2015 site visit for Hayward, strategically timed (at the site's request) to occur after the start of the school year.
