This project updated the official PREA audit report template for all four facility types (i.e., adult prisons and jails, lockups, community confinement facilities and juvenile facilities). The new template more closely parallels the Online Audit System questions and format.

The TA will a mock audit of the Beaufort County Jail. It will be done by consultant John Barkley. The tentative date for the site visit is the week of Dec. 4th and the tentative date for the draft report from John will be week of Jan. 9th.

The West Virginia Division of Corrections (DOC) requested technical assistance to address a range of current challenges, including a rising prison population, limited resources, staffing shortages, facilities considerations, institutional gang and drug activity, and inmate-on-inmate violence. BJA NTTAC is currently still identifying potential TA providers to fulfill this request, which will be transferred to the Option Year 1 (OY1) contract.

NCIA conducts site and desk compliance assessments of PIECP Cost Accounting Centers (CACs) to assure BJA that the PIECP Certificate Holders are operating within the proegrams statutory and administrative requirements.

Customized TTA request from the North Dakota Human Trafficking Task Force to obtain a TTA needs assessment from OVC TTAC-IACP was to be looped in. This assessment never occurred from OVC TTAC, but IACP completed our TTA needs assessment of this task force in September 2018. A separate entry in the BJA reporting portal has been submitted.

TA lead and Director conducted an official site visit of the Boston, MA site. Met with program staff and coordinator of project to discuss the planning process and provide guidance around data collecting and research methodology. Also met with local residents, community stakeholders, and service providers.
