Grantee shared concerns around the ability to spend down remaining funds. A call was scheduled to brainstorm other options with Tara.
The grantee expressed concerns about their ability to spend down funds; Rulo staff connected the project manager to Tara to explore alternative options for spending down funds.
The grantee indicated that they intend to apply for 2024 COSSUP funding with hopes of expanding their existing COSSUP work. They also hope to incorporate some data/evaluation, so the Rulo team made an introduction with the ABT Global team to explore what support they might offer.
Grantee had questions about the national convening. Rulo staff provided her with the list of approved conferences and information on the mentor site visit opportunity.
The grantee reached out requesting dates for the annual COSSUP convening. Once notified that there would be no convening, she requested alternative options. Rulo staff sent her the list of approved conferences, information on the mentor site opportunity, and a link to the application.
Amador County is in the process of securing a contract with YouTurn for virtual peer support services, so the Rulo team recommended that they connect with Altarum on the front end of the implementation so they can be really intentional in their role out. The Rulo team made a virtual connection to the Altarum team and is in the process of scheduling a meeting between Rulo, Amador County, and Altarum
Grantee was curious if Rulo had funds to support the sending of his staff to training. After checking with the team internally, Rulo staff was able to confirm that Rulo does not have those funds...but if he has grant funds that he would like to reallocate, he can certainly do so (with confirmation from BJA). This was communicated to Louis via e-mail.
In our standard bi-monthly check in the grantee mentioned some targeted data collection he'd been doing related to the program, so we briefly discussed the benefits of completing a more formal evaluation and the grantee noted that he would appreciate it if we sent him information related to evaluation. After discussing further offline, the Rulo team thought it would be appropriate to make a referral to ABT Global. I reached out to Ryan offering an introduction to Abt and highlighting their services.
After receiving the conference information, Jillian contacted me again for some additional clarification about reallocating funds for a different conference. She had some in-depth questions about eligible staff for travel funding. Rulo staff let her know that it would be best to raise this question with her assigned contact at the BJA.
At our bi-monthly call, Rulo staff mentioned the opportunity to reallocate funds to a mentor site visit or alternative conference in place of the annual BJA convening. Jillian did not ask for additional resources at the time of the call. Still, she sent an e-mail later that day requesting a list of approved conferences and a link to complete the mentee application, which was provided.
