Objective 2: Technology Development Technical Assistance  In February, CSG Justice Center staff learned that NY DOCCS is planning conferences with vendors they are interested in meeting with based on their responses to the RFI. They are looking to schedule presentations with 8 different vendors (of 10 that responded). The team was surprised by how many vendors responded and that they have the technology capacity for what they are looking for. They continue to want to have the device provided by the vendor, and a few of the vendors shared in their responses that they can do that.

Objective 2: Technology Development Technical Assistance In January, CSG Justice Center staff learned that 10 companies responded to the “Smartphone Technology and Smartphone Devices” RFI. NY DOCCS will be reviewing each of the RFI vendor responses before the next team meeting on February 13. The team will then schedule conferences with companies they are interested in learning more from before writing and releasing the RFP.
