The RVCRI Team will host monthly check-in calls with each of the grantees. Currently, there are 45 grantees actively in contact with the Institute. Each call is approximately 30 minutes. Each month we will discuss:
1. General Updates
2. RVCRI Implementation Status Updates including SARA Model activities and Violent Crime Metrics Updates
3. Success Stories
4. Areas of Concerns
5. TTA Requests
6. Next Steps/Q&A

RVCRI, funded by the Bureau of Justice Assistance and supported by the National Policing Institute and Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC), provides grants, training, and technical assistance (TTA) support to law enforcement agencies addressing violent crime challenges in rural areas. Awards will range from $25,000 - $150,000. Applications and awards will be made on a rolling cohort basis, with the second cohort deadline being March 31, 2023. The RVCRI Solicitation Webinar will provide details and guidance to eligible applicants on the RVCRI Grant Program. The RVCRI is a competitive grant program, funded by the Bureau of Justice Assistance, supporting rural law enforcement agencies addressing violent crime challenges. Grants can support various aspects of policing including improving investigations, implementing violent crime reduction strategies, and enhancing collaboration between local stakeholders. Awards are competitive in nature and can range from $25,000 - $150,000. Grants can be used to:

The RVCRI team will host an Orientation Event on February 16 to orient new RVCRI grantees under both LISC and the Institute. The Orientation will:
1. Provide a high-level overview of the program
2. Split into organization-specific breakout rooms to discuss specific grant management reimbursement guidelines
3. Give agencies the opportunity to learn which agencies are joining them in RVCRI
4 Ask questions of BJA, the Institute, and LISC

Ashland, AL requested assistance with planning, facilitating, and evaluating a community roundtable and officer training providing an overview of POP and soliciting feedback and buy-in from both officers and the community. As a part of this TTA, the Institute developed a Community Feedback survey for Ashland. This survey is currently being distributed through social media, the local newspaper, and via citizen contact.
