The Middlesex Sheriff's Office requested funding for speaker support for a conference on issues facing people of color in the criminal justice field. BJA NTTAC was not able to fulfill the request and closed the request on November 15, 2016.

The Tucson Police Department is respectfully requesting assistance in providing our commissioned police personnel with T3 - Tact, Tactics, and Trust training provided by Polis Solutions, LLC. As an agency, we are committed to community policing principles and maintaining strong relationships with our citizens. This training will enhance our officers social interaction and communication skills and increase the safety of citizens and officers alike through proven trust-building techniques.

Technical assistance with the implementation of The Drug Market Intervention evidence-based model. This engagement consisted of one day of training, and one day of individual follow-up meetings with stakeholder agencies. Training participants consisted of mainly Camden County Police Department officers (and other ranks), other Camden County personnel, as well as members from the Newark (NJ) VRN site, Wilmington (DE) VRN site, and West Memphis (AR) VRN site.

BJA will commission a White Paper on risk assessment use in state and local sentencing decision making. The final report will be a critical tool to expand BJA's knowledge of how risk information is used, and may impact future BJA funding priorities and strategies.

BJA will identify a provider to facilitate JRI peer-to-peer technical assistance events. Similar events were held in February 2015 to share ideas, resources, and tools from sites involved in JRI efforts. This TA will expand those events to more sites involved in JRI activity.

The Fairfax County Police Department, requests T3 training. T3 is the only police training program that simultaneously addresses the perceptual, cognitive, and behavioral dimensions of social interaction. It integrates the latest scientific research on managing social encounters with validated training techniques. The training will last for a half day (four hours) and not have more than 40 participants.

The University of Delaware Police Department (UDPD) embraces the mission of providing quality law enforcement education to our regional law enforcement partners in the Middle-Atlantic region. This Training and Technical Assistance request continues UDPD Chief Patrick Ogden's history of identifying excellent contemporary law enforcement training by bringing Blue Courage training to our campus for state, municipal and local law enforcement officers.
