On January 13-14, 2016, a DMI subject matter team of four individuals delivered two days worth of training for four VRN sites: Camden, NJ, Newark, NJ, Wilmington, DE, and West Memphis, AR. Approximately 50 attendees were present. An evaluation summary and site summary report will be provided to NTTAC and Camden in the next reporting period.
Prior to the training, the training team had numerous phone call and email exchanges with two Lieutenants in Camden in a effort to share resources and adequately prepare for the January training. Ten individuals from Camden completed the Michigan State University Violence Reduction Assessment Tool (VRAT) to assist with gauging their readiness to implement the DMI. The VRAT results proved to be helpful for the site as a discussion tool around implementation.
