The Beverly Hills Police Department hosted three personnel from the Vallejo Police Department October 22, 2024, to learn about its Real Time Crime Center (RTCC). The day began with an overview and discussion regarding the history, technology, funding, and staffing of the RTCC. The attendees also learned about the workflow, the use of drones as first responders, and public perception. The afternoon included a presentation and review of case studies, success stories, and a question-and-answer period. The day concluded with a tour of the Beverly Hills RTCC.

IIR funded three individuals from the Sacramento Police Department to attend the 2024 SAKI TTA Suspect Interviewing Training held on September 23, 2024. The event was hosted by the National Sexual Assault Kit Initiative Training and Technical Assistance Program at RTI International’s campus in Research Triangle Park, North Carolina. The event delved into advanced interviewing techniques, focused on understanding the psychological aspects of interviewing suspects and the importance of credibility and evidence in the process.

On December 17, 2024, a webinar was hosted to introduce the new Kevin and Avonte site-based grantees to key grant stakeholders, including representatives from BJA and the TTA team. The webinar served to orient grantees to their roles and responsibilities, provide an overview of the grant program, and introduce the TTA team’s resources and support services. This session laid the foundation for effective collaboration and ensured grantees were well-equipped to implement their programs. From August 25 to August 28, 2025, the Autism Society of America team participated in a conference that featured a keynote presentation on Kevin & Avonte's Law, delivered to an audience of approximately 100 attendees. Following the keynote, a panel discussion was held focusing on wandering and related safety concerns. During the conference, the TTA team also provided first responder training and resources to approximately 60 attendees.

Between July 1 and December 31, 2024, the TTA team delivered first responder training and resources to approximately 100 attendees. The training focused on wandering and drowning prevention awareness and strategies, as well as promising practices to support Autism-informed de-escalation during field interactions. Additionally, attendees received information on locative technology to enhance safety and response efforts. From July 1 to December 31, 2024, the TTA team provided targeted training and technical assistance to site-based grantees via email. These communications focused on key areas such as program implementation, removing barriers to successful program completion, connecting sites to valuable resources, sharing best and promising practices, and fostering community connections. Specifically, the emails emphasized strategies for building relationships with law enforcement, first responders, and healthcare providers to enhance program outcomes and community impact.

From July 1, 2024, to December 31, 2024, the TTA team effectively executed a targeted social media campaign focused on Kevin and Avonte's Law and the critical topics of water safety, wandering prevention, and drowning prevention. Engaging and informative posts were disseminated across Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn, amplifying awareness and driving action within key audiences. These posts included links to carefully curated resources designed to educate and support families, caregivers, and community members.
