Join the National Criminal Justice Training Center of Fox Valley Technical College for their webinar “Cultural Considerations When Working Within Indian Country – Part 1” on February 24, 2021 at 2:00–3:30 p.m. ET. Impact Justice, with support from the Bureau of Justice Assistance, manages The National Prison Rape Elimination Act (PREA) Resource Center (PRC). The PRC helps state, local, and tribal agencies to implement PREA standards. The PRC also supports the U.S. Department of Justice’s (DOJ) audit function.

This webinar will focus on body-worn camera (BWC) footage as a form of digital evidence and how agencies are leveraging and managing large volumes of digital evidence media (DEM) being generated by BWCs. The panel consists of representatives from three police agencies and a researcher.

The Bureau of Justice Assistance’s Justice Mental Health Collaboration Program is designed to improve outcomes for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD), mental illness, or co-occurring mental illness and substance abuse who come into contact with the justice system. Part of that involves Police-Mental Health Collaboration (PMHC) programs.

During this webinar, attendees will learn how jail facilities can use the Telehealth Implementation Support Tool to understand the various protocols, policies, technologies, and types of staff that will need to be in place to facilitate the implementation of telehealth.
