I would like to request on behalf of my Department - the San Mateo Police Department - help with developing and improving our crime analysis program. I have heard that you have a two phased approach in which you can send an expert to our department to do an onsite review of crime analysis program and make recommendations for improvement. The 2nd phase of the approach is the implementation of some of the recommendations based on how intensive they will be. Hopefully I'm correct in my understanding and you can help me with this.

The Arkansas City Kansas Police Department is requesting assistance to bring in the Blue Courage, Heart and Mind of the Guardian two day seminar. We are a small agency of 26 sworn officers with a limited training budget and expansive training needs. The Arkansas City Police Department had a change in the upper management within the last year with the retirement of the Chief and Captain. As the new Chief, I am looking for the best training opportunities which will benefit not only the officer, but the whole agency and the community we serve.

My police unit is part of a much larger collaborative effort called the Kansas City No Violence Alliance. Kansascitynova.org... We are currently working to implement a Byrne Grant project in a very violent corridor of our city's urban core. Four officers and myself will be working in this corridor with community based organizations to implement a focused deterrence policing strategy and to apply CPTED principles to a commercial corridor revitalization effort.

During the past Legislative Session, the Texas Board of Pardons and Paroles (BPP) was required to keep the Estimated Approval Rates (EAR) on each category relative to the risk level noted on the matrix as public information. During one of the parole guidelines' revisions, the estimated approval rates were inadvertently left in place on a public document.
