The May Newsletter Volume 7, Issue 3 highlighted the following topics ADHD and Doctor Shopping and State Action to Prevent and Treat Prescription Drug Abuse.We have also added a Treatment/Prevention Corner and a new section on the latest PDMP Legislation to the newsletters.

The Prescription Drug Monitoring Program Training and Technical Assistance Center (TTAC) provides support, resources, and information to PDMPs, federal partners, organizations, and other stakeholders to further the efforts of PDMPs in curtailing prescription drug abuse and diversion while ensuring access to controlled medications for patients with legitimate medical need. TTAC’s technical assistance spans the range of issues impacting PDMPs and topics related to prescription drug abuse and diversion.

The Prescription Drug Monitoring Program's Training and Technical Assistance Center hosts a monthly educational webinar series. This series facilitates the exchange of critical information and explores topics of special interest or growing concern in prescription drug monitoring. Events are publicized on the PDMP website www.pdmpassist.org'content'events under the calendar of events, helping PDMP Administrators and others register online and network with other attendees.

The TTA Webinar Series is to inform and educate participants or current issues and best practices related to the effective use of PDMPs. There were three webinars in the first three months of 2015: 1. Health Information Exchange Integration of Maryland's Challenges & Lessons learned on January 14, 2015; 2. Analysis of Findings from DEA's medication Take_Back events in Maine on February 11, 2015; and 3.Prescription Opioid and Heroin Crises: A Public Health Approach to an Epidemic of Addictions on March 27, 2015
