Polis will conduct a 60 minute online webinar to which we will invite a representative group of law enforcement, academic, and BJA stakeholders. The ADAPT DT Roundtable webinar will provide a strategic overview of ADAPT. It will also expand the ADAPT network of people and organizations committed to transforming defensive tactics training. We will use a question and answer period at the end of the webinar to elicit input from attendees and ensure wide collaborative involvement in our subsequent program efforts.

Polis has been directed by BJA to work closely with selected police agencies and academies across the U.S. to examine their existing DT training and to pilot new, evidence-based training content and methods. Based on this process, Polis will develop a model DT training program that agencies nationwide can implement. To develop ADAPT, Polis will establish collaborative partnerships with training academies, defensive tactics professionals, researchers, and law enforcement leaders. Polis will establish a set of organizationally and geographically diverse relationships.
