In September 2023, IHS entered into a contract with Bamboo Health (BH) and provided grant funding to BH for PDMP/EHR integrations utilizing BH’s Gateway/PMPi Hub connection and has subsequently contracted with BH for upgrades to IHS’s RPMS data management system. Now, a year has passed and IHS is continuing to maintain services from BH. At the close of this reporting cycle, IHS has demonstrated no interest in further engagement with RxCheck.

Denver Indian Health & Family Services (DIHFS) Pilot Project: On 07/23/24 DIHFS went live in the RxCheck Hub with the Colorado PDMP providing PDMP/EHR patient Rx data integration within DIHFS’s eClinical Works (eCW) EMRs environment. This integration was a first for a Non-IHS Tribal Healthcare entity, PDMP/EHR with a state PDMP utilizing both third party PDMP and EHR vendors. IJIS was instrumental in the negotiations and provisioning of DIHFS to the Colorado PDMP/EHR integrations program. IJIS collaborated with LogiCoy to provide this integration service.

Discussions were held with IIR on how to move an eHealth integration into production due to the issue with BJA not being able to sign the DURSA. The eHealth Exchange has offered the option of having a state level DURSA for an annual fee of $25,000. In pursuit of that option, IJIS and TTAC have been in discussions with CyncHealth in Nebraska on becoming a pilot. Numerous calls and Q and A have been held with the CyncHealth team and they have reported that they have approval to move forward.

During the TTA status check call, TTA staff help grantees think through partnerships and relationships as they progress through their projects, help grantees document and highlight their successes, offer feedback, and serve as a bridge between resources and BJA staff. TTA staff help grantees connect with the right people to ensure the successful implementation of their programs. Status calls occur every other month, cohort calls occur quarterly, and a web link is provided to grantees to sign up for office hours whenever something comes up, and grantees would like a quick call.
