On November 29−30, premier leaders and practitioners from across the justice landscape convened for the Fall 2016 Global Justice Information Sharing Initiative (Global) Advisory Committee (GAC, Committee) Meeting at the Office of Justice Programs offices. To maximize resources and provide opportunities for Global engagement by an even greater range of subject-matter experts (SME), the majority of hands-on Committee efforts are conducted virtually.

NW3C staff attended the 2016 American Society of Criminoloy Annual Meeting. While there, NW3C hosted a meeting of the White Collar Crime Research Consortium (WCCRC). The WCCRC is being included as an official division within ASC (the Division of White Collar and Corporate Crime).

Attended and presented at the MCCA Fall Meeting. The MCCA Fall meeting is held for two days immediately before the annual conference of IACP.

The Major Cities Chiefs Association meets three times a year. Chiefs may bring staff members to attend thee meetings. Law enforcement staff members are allowed in all meeting segments with the exception of Executive Sessions. Official representatives of governmental agencies are normally invited to attend all sessions with the exception of the Executive Sessions.

RAND plans to conduct the fourth in-person meeting of the Criminal Justice Technology Forecasting Group. This meeting will focus on addressing the top two topics for follow-on research from prior CJTFG meetings: identifying the most promising emerging technologies for sharing and using information, and determining top business cases for sharing information across the criminal justice enterprise.

Conducted a workshop (held as a conference presentation) on needs for a federally-supported crime analysis capability and standards at the Massachusetts Association of Crime Analysts' 2016 meeting in Hyannis, MA, in May 2016. We captured about eight pages of needs from about 15 crime analysis practitioners during the workshop.
