The goal of this technical assistance engagement is to provide consulting services to the New Mexico Administrative Office of the District Attorneys to assist them in reporting firearm purchase disqualifying records to the state criminal justice repository. The engagement will also include development of district attorney's case management system functional specifications. Successful completion of this engagement will provide increased number of qualifying records to the state repository and provide initial functional requirements for case management system.

SEARCH provides support for NAJIS as the only practitioner event that focuses on information sharing. SEARCH promotes the adoption and use of national standards when developing presentations for the NAJIS annual conference. Participation Promotes national standards and resources available to conference participants who generally represent state and local practitioners with responsibilities for acquiring and implementing technology within the justice community.

In September 2015, Center staff conducted email introductions between Richard Iron Cloud of the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation (South Dakota) and Mike Jackson of Kake First Nation, Wendy Hill of the Haudenosaunee Nation and Precious Benally of the Center for Court Innovation regarding peacemaking trainings.

In September 2015, Center staff emailed Marcy Kahn of the Unified Court System to discuss potential TTA to support the development of a bail reform pilot project for Native American offenders in the Town of Bombay court in northern New York State. This project has been approved by the NYS Office of Court Administration and will be developed in partnership with the NY Federal-State-Tribal Court Forum and the St. Regis Mohawk Tribe.

In September 2015, Center staff had a phone call with Ralph Andrew from Bristol Bay Native Association (Alaska) to discuss strategic planning assistance for the tribe’s BJA reentry planning grant.
