Matt Perkins and Jason Cooper of LISC hosted a call for FY15 planning sites covering the topic of "What's Next? Planning after the Planning is Done for FY2015 Planning Only sites," with guest speakers from previous planning only sites that were successfully awarded implementation grants. The call focused on opportunities to leverage BCJI planning funding to apply for other grants and opportunities to move forward with implementation while waiting on Implementation award status.

In conjunction with the Building Partnerships for Crime Reduction Symposium, LISC hosted a two-day grantee meeting to provide peer learning opportunities for sites, as well as to learn from multiple presentations by subject matter experts. FY2016 Planning and Implementation sites were required to attend, while all other sites were invited.

Matt Perkins visited St Louis for a BCJI community presentation and attended a presentation of the OJP Diagnostic center on March 30

Jason Cooper visited Rockdale County from March 9th-10th to discuss project plan and site leadership.

LISC will be holding a half-day symposium featuring the Byrne Criminal Justice Innovation Program and our approach to community safety partnerships on March 22nd in Washington, DC. This presents an opportunity to educate key local and national leaders about our strategy and cultivate their support, much as we did in January 2014 with our Safe Streets, Strong Communities symposium at the Ford Foundation.

A site visit of the Springfield, MA site was conducted on November 2, 2016 by the LISC TA team. The purpose of the visit was to assess the sites Implementation phase/process and provide TTA as needed.

Matt Perkins moderated a session during the BJA Smart Suite Summit on September 7th - 9th. The session, Embracing Comprehensive Approaches to Crime Reduction, was presented by Deputy Chief Deon McCaulley and Michael Walker of the Cleveland BCJI.

Scott Decker will continue to work with Madison, WI in order to refine site's research and analysis.

A site visit of the BCJI Baton Rouge site was conducted on November 22, 2016 by the LISC TA team. The purpose of the visit was to assess the sites implementation phase/process and provide TTA as needed.

A site visit of the Baltimore - Promise Heights, MD BCJI site was conducted on November 18, 2016 by the LISC TA team. The purpose of the visit was to assess the sites planning phase/process and provide TTA as needed.
