The City of Akron Police Department requests T3 – Tact, Tactics, and Trust™ training in order to host leadership from surrounding police departments to create a joint effort to improve interaction, communication, and understanding between local police departments and the public. T3™ is the only police training program that simultaneously addresses the perceptual, cognitive, and behavioral dimensions of social interaction. It integrates the latest scientific research on managing social encounters with validated training techniques.
The Fairfax County Police Department, requests T3 training. T3 is the only police training program that simultaneously addresses the perceptual, cognitive, and behavioral dimensions of social interaction. It integrates the latest scientific research on managing social encounters with validated training techniques. The training will last for a half day (four hours) and not have more than 40 participants.
WebOMNI – Michigan Department of Corrections (MDOC) Access Training: MDOC will conduct a two hour training on the Agency’s live Offender Management Network Information (OMNI) Database. This is a new technology being offered by MDOC to LE Agencies to have live access to all active offenders being supervised across the state.

Following the Characteristics of Armed Persons course law enforcement will walk away with tips on making observations of an individual’s bodily movement, clothing behaviors, stop and frisks, crime gun recovery, keen observations during traffic stops, report writing and testimony for successful prosecution. This program is specifically designed for uniformed police officers/agents, as well as other line officers.

This course includes detailed instruction on identifying characteristics of persons who carry concealed firearms, legal issues regarding stop and frisk, and articulating probable cause for searches.

The IACP New Police Chief Mentoring Project is a professional development opportunity that matches experienced mentor chiefs with newer chiefs for formal or informal mentoring, supported by the Mentoring Project team. This is a valuable opportunity that helps to connect smaller and tribal police executives to meet the unique challenges they face. The Discover Policing Mentoring Center is the home of our online database which allows participants to register as mentors or mentees, search for mentors that meet their needs, and contact potential matches directly.
The agency is requesting to receive professional training in the topic area of fair and impartial policing/ cultural awareness, and or community policing. A topic that could best cover those three areas if possible, and have the course repeated on two days so a larger number of FMPD personnel would be able to attend. Other Law Enforcement agencies in Southwest Florida would also be invited to attend the training.
