Objective 2: Technology Development Technical Assistance

12/9/24: In-person meeting with Linde Hoffman (State Engagement Manager, Recidiviz), Sophie Pepin (Senior Data Analyst, Recidiviz), and Jonathan "Scott" Brinly (Parole Officer, TDCJ) to discuss their use of supervision level downgrade, early discharge and annual reporting to better structure Recidiviz's tool. (3 participants, representing 2 agencies)

In-person presentation on November 4 at the Minnesota CSAC meeting in Shakopee, MN

A presentation was provided to the Community Supervision Advisory Committee (CSAC) to introduce and explain key recommendations developed by the Risk and Needs Assessment (RNA) Working Group and the Justice Reinvestment Initiative (JRI) Phase II Working Group. The presentation included a review of the risk-need-responsivity (RNR) principles, risk and needs assessment recommendations, case planning recommendations, and behavior response grid recommendations.

11/04: In-person presentation at the Minnesota CSAC meeting to present working group recommendations for case planning and a statewide behavior response grid, which will support improved supervision strategies for community supervision.

12/4 In-Person Meeting with Ohio County Day Reporting Center: CSG Justice Center Staff met with Fred McDonald (Director) to share more about the WV project and learn about DRC operations and services. (1 participants, 1 agency)

Site Visit- Site Visit carried out in Morgantown and Wheeling, West Virginia from December 2-6 to meet with justice system stakeholders including Day Reporting Centers, correctional facilities, behavioral health providers, and legislative representatives to share information on the WV project and perform qualitative analysis.

12/3 In-Person Meeting with Monongalia County Day Reporting Center (DRC): CSG Justice Center Staff met with Justin Kreger (Director) to share more about the WV project and learn about Monongalia County DRC operations and services. (1 participant, 1 agency

12/4 In-Person Meeting with WV Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation: CSG Justice Center Staff met with Debbie Richmond (Criminal Justice Specialist) to share more about the WV project and discuss corrections data systems. (1 participants, 1 agency)

12/4 In-Person Meeting with Northern Regional Correctional Facility: CSG Justice Center Staff met with Karen Pszczolkowski (Deputy Superintendent) and Cece Palmer (Reentry Coordinator) to tour the facility and learn more about the facility's programming and release processes. (2 participants, 1 agency)

Site Visit- Site visit carried out in North Carolina from December 3-5 to where CSG Justice Center staff presented the final presentation and findings of the JAC project to NC DAC stakeholders.

In-person meeting with Justin Davis (Legislative Affairs Director, NC DAC) to share project updates and review plans for a future site visit. (1 participant, 1 agency)?
