Subject matter experts at the PRC staff operate an Auditor Helpdesk designated for PREA auditors to ask questions about an audit, the audit process, the continuing education learning management system, or standards interpretation. Each PRC staff person who contributes is responsible for responding to queries on one or more days per week.
The PRC closed 30 helpline cases between July - January 2025.

The Council of Juvenile Justice Administrators (CJJA) is made up of executive staff leaders of most of the individual states in the US and territories. A PREA Committee meets bi-monthly and is attended by some executive leaders and primarily by state-level Juvenile PREA Coordinators for each state's juvenile justice agency. The National PREA Resource Center (PRC) arranges for speakers and presentations at these meetings based on content requests from the members.

Following policy development conversations, CJI supported the Work Group in drafting a comprehensive, final report capturing the work of the Reentry Work Group. The report includes key data findings, research points, and the Work Group’s 26 recommendations for improving reentry outcomes in North Dakota.

Rising Ground, a juvenile agency in New York, NY requested their PREA employee, contractor and volunteer training curriculum to be reviewed. Rising Ground contracts with the City of New York Administration for Children's Service to provide juvenile services for one secure and six non-secure facilities.

Provide support to Cook County Juvenile Temporary Detention Center (CCJTDC) in Chicago, IL for policy changes made by the rape crisis center they work with that supports survivors of sexual abuse at CCJTDC.

Provide a two day, in-person, specialized training: Investigating Sexual Abuse and Sexual Harassment for the Essex County Sheriff's Department in Middleton, MA. The training will include other adult agencies around the area and possibly NY. The training was scheduled for November 20-21, 2024 but rescheduled to February 4-6, 2025. The training topics will consist of investigating sexual abuse and sexual harassment in confinement settings and include a local prosecutor and advocate.

Bernalillo County Metropolitan Detention Center (BCMDC) located in Albuquerque, NM requested a review of and recommendations for revisions to their PREA policies. The BCMDC has undergone and passed three PREA audits; however, they have a new warden who wants to make sure their policies align with the standards and is interested in recommendations for how to make them even more robust.

Review of Onslow County Sheriff's Office Employee Training Curriculum.
The Onslow County Sheriffs Office (OCSO) in Jacksonville, NC requested a review of their PREA employee training curriculium materials. The TA was assigned to The Moss Group, Inc. (TMG) to review the agency's training materials and provide feedback on how this material aligns with the PREA training standards
