In July, staff from the CSG Justice Center expanded their efforts to develop relationships and plan for implementation across grantee states. This included virtual meetings with stakeholders in Arizona, Oregon, Wisconsin, Illinois, and North Carolina.
This course offers a general introduction to several core areas and provides practical skills involved with the role of serving Tribal Court Clerks in Alaska Tribal Courts.
We presented the IoT database and presented on a few devices and associated data included in the database. Participants attended in person and online (via Microsoft Teams).
This training convenes senior leaders in law enforcement that can serve as champions and advisors to the SAKI program, provide guidance towards the larger goal of expanding sexual assault response reform to other departments, and identify effective ways to incorporate sexual assault as part of violent crime reduction strategies in their respective jurisdictions and across the nation.
MasterCard Worldwide, through its Impact Evaluator team, will develop recommendations for a data assessment framework and will share findings with LISC and other project partners, including nonprofit organizations under LISC’s Community Violence Intervention and Prevention Initiative Capacity Building program. The assessment framework will be an examination of relevant programmatic and open-sourced data and will measure the impact of CVIPI initiatives currently being implemented by project partners.
In 1995, C.O.P.S. began offering the highly-acclaimed trainings called “Traumas of Law Enforcement” to prepare law enforcement agencies to provide counseling and peer support following line-of-duty deaths and other law enforcement tragedies such as disability and suicide. An extensive curriculum on death notification, handling a line-of-duty death, law enforcement suicide, the emotionally affected officer, and the disabled officer are all taught at these trainings. In 2019, we began making peer support and counseling referrals available to the officers attending the training.
