Conduct training -- Human Trafficking in Indian Country --Rapid City, SD: This initiative will provide critical training to build awareness of the existence of Human Trafficking in Indian Country and provide law enforcement and community stakeholders with the tools necessary to begin the process of victim identification, rescue and restoration. Training for LE places an emphasis on investigation skills and case coordination with an understanding that the victim is the key focus of the investigation.

IACP will develop and conduct a strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats (SWOT) analysis to identify TTA needs for each task force. The SWOT analysis will be conducted using electronic surveying and phone interviews. Based on the outcome of the assessments, in consultation with BJA, IACP will develop/enhance/refine training for delivery to the ECM task forces.

NTTAC is supporting travel for Lou Longhitano and Theresa Nietzel to the National Sheriffs' Association Winter Conference. The travelers will participate in a workshop on human trafficking on February 6th, 2016.

IIR provided logistical support and coordination for a representative from Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department - Compton Station along with the VRN Strategic Site Liaison and VRN - CNA Analyst to visit the Oakland and Richmond Police Departments. IIR also reimbursed travel for the individual from LASD. The purpose of this trip was to identify violence reduction efforts in Oakland and Richmond that can be replicated, as appropriate, to enhance violence reduction efforts in Compton.

BJA NTTAC will pay for travel expenses for six presenters for the International Association of Chiefs of Police's annual conference in Chicago, IL. The presenters will conduct the following workshops: Ending Modern Day Slavery: Best Practices for Law Enforcement in the Fight Against Human Trafficking; Improving Policing Using Body-Worn Cameras and Video Analytics; and Addressing Elder Abuse in Your Community.

IIR supports the Office of the Program Manager, Information Sharing Environment (PM-ISE) in the PM-ISE's work with the Association of State Criminal Investigative Agencies (ASCIA) in improving information sharing related to combating Human Trafficking (HT). As a part of this effort, the ASCIA Human Trafficking Working Group, in collaboration with the PM-ISE and with support from IIR, held a meeting on February 11-12, 2015 in Washington, DC. The meeting brought together ASCIA and federal partners to discuss current human trafficking efforts.
