The Bureau of Justice Assistance requested support for a subject matter expert to facilitate a one-day session on the GunStat model. BJA NTTAC provided travel support to John Skinner to facilitate the session with the Chicago, Illinois PD on January 23, 2019.
BJA supported for 1 member from the St. Louis, MO Public Safety Partnership (PSP) site to attend the FBI's DIVRT Training in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on February 25-28, 2019.
Hamilton County, Ohio requested travel support for a peer-to-peer visit for six to eight representatives to visit the Albany, New York law enforcement assisted diversion program. BJA NTTAC referred this request to the Center for Health and Justice at Treatment Alternatives for Safer Communities.
LAPD requested assistance from BJA NTTAC to assist the officers assigned to the Innovation & Strategic Planning Division with establishing goals and set the vision for innovation and strategic planning for the department. Markus Baer was selected to fulfill the request and provide innovation training to LAPD on January 14 -15, 2019 in La Angeles, California. This request was postponed due to scheduling conflicts and will be revisited at a later date.
BJA requested support to send one participant from the Jackson, Mississippi Public Safety Partnership Site to the IHIA Advanced Homicide/Violent Crimes Investigations Training at the FBI Training Academy in Quantico, Virgina on November 5 - 9, 2018. BJA NTTAC provided travel support to one representative from the Jackson PSP site.
NTTAC will provide support for PSP participants to attend the International Homicide Investigators Association Advanced Homicide/Violent Crime Court in New Orleans, Louisiana on March 11 - 15, 2019.
The Baltimore, Maryland Police Department (PD) and the Houston, Texas Police Department requested travel support for representatives to attend the Los Angeles, California Police Department (LAPD) Crimefighters Conference. BJA NTTAC supported two travelers from Baltimore PD and two travelers from Houston PD to attend the LAPD Crimefighters Conference on February 6 - 7, 2019 in Los Angeles, California.
BJA is requesting travel support for members from the National Public Safety Partnership (PSP) sites to attend the FBI's DIVRT Training in San Diego, California on January 28-31, 2019.
The Bureau of Justice Assistance requested travel support for a representative to attend the Chicago, Illinois Crimefighters Conference. BJA NTTAC provided travel support to two representatives from the Saginaw PD to attend the conference on January 24 - 25, 2019 in Chicago, Illinois.
BJA requested travel support to send 13 PSP representatives to the IHIA Advanced Homicide/ Violent Crimes Investigations Course in Quantico, VA on November 5 - 9, 2018. Thomas Dearing was one of the 13 PSP representatives.
