During this reporting period, IIR staff members provided complete logistical support to the following meetings and events:

2024 National Forum on Overdose Fatality Review—March 5–6, 2024. The forum included 21 sessions and 54 panelists. There were 452 confirmed registrations and 320 people attended the event. Attendees represented COSSUP grantees, federal partners, and interested stakeholders. The event was viewed as a huge success and received very positive reviews from participants.

Steve DeBrota presented at USSS on the topic called, "“Reconsidering Famous Crimes: What if the JonBenet Ramsey Murder and O.J. Simpson case happened in 2023”. The presentation is described as, "Six-year-old JonBenet Ramsey was murdered in her Colorado home on Christmas Day in 1996. This presentation will first provide an overview of the publicly available evidence and identify investigative challenges with this unsolved case.

Then the presenter, an experienced former federal prosecutor who was not involved in the investigation, will describe the present and emerging high technology and digital evidence that might be available if the same crime happened in 2023.
