The NRTAC held an interactive Zoom training to bring together investigators and prosecutors for training and discussion surrounding victim and witness cooperation. The objectives of this training are to:
• Foster collaboration between police, prosecutors and victim advocates
• Learn how to coordinate contact with victims/witnesses and services provided
• Learn how to keep victims/witnesses safe while the case is pending and during trial
• Understand the importance of victims and witnesses in investigations

AEquitas and project staff worked with the sites to determine the prevalence of witness intimidation in their jurisdiction and the challenges that hinder victim/witness cooperation. Involved initial site visits to three sites on the following dates:

Baton Rouge: 1/31/2018 to 2/1/2018
Boston: 2/28/2018 to 3/1/2018
Baltimore: 2/12/2018 to 2/13/2018; 3/29/2018
