The PRC's OAS Team hosted a webinar that provided a detailed demonstration of the Online Audit System (OAS). The webinar was presented from the point of view of the PREA Coordinator and PREA Compliance Manager and included step-by-step guidance on how to respond to measures, upload evidence, submit the PAQ, and optimize the system's effectiveness and efficiency. Participants were also given the opportunity to ask targeted questions and provide feedback related to the OAS.

This webinar provided an overview of Standard 115.86 sexual abuse incident reviews. The presenters discussed implementation expectations, challenges implementing this standard, promising practices, and auditing considerations.

This TTA involved data analysis and assessment of past auditor training components to develop and write a report of recommendations for the PREA Management Office (PMO). The report will be used to determine the next steps for PREA Auditor Certification Training, the Field Training Program, and Auditor Probationary Education. The PRC submitted its report of recommendations to the PMO on 11/27/2024.

The PRC developed a three-part Introductory Topics Webinar Series on protections in the PREA Standards for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex, and gender nonconforming (LGBTI+) people in custody. The three (3) webinars in this series provide relevant introductory training for staff who are responsible for implementing PREA Standards that rely on effective and professional communication with LGBTI+ people who are confined.

NDCAC Resources for Law Enforcement in the Digital Age

The NDCAC is a national center established under the Department of Justice designed to help facilitate technical knowledge management, to foster the sharing of solutions and know-how among law enforcement agencies. Their mission is to strengthen law enforcement's relationships with the communications industry, leverage/share the collective technical knowledge and resources of the law enforcement community, and address challenges posed to law enforcement by advanced communications services and technologies. This 75 minute webinar will introduce you to the many resources available through the NDCAC to include technical solutions, training, investigative tools (social media search warrant parsers and open-source searches), and analytics.
