Virtual Training: Tribal Intergovernmental Reentry National Workshop

The Bureau of Justice Assistance, in partnership with the American Probation and Parole Association, is hosting a Tribal Intergovernmental Reentry National Workshop. Through shared operational, organizational, and culture-based concepts and processes, participants will learn how to develop effective reentry plans to reduce recidivism and victimization. The national training is open to any tribe.

Webinar: “COVID-19: The Return to Campus and the ‘New Normal’”

In partnership with the Collaborative Reform Initiate Technical Assistance Center (CRI-TAC) and the COPS Office, the International Association of Campus Law Enforcement Administrators (IACLEA) will host a webinar on July 28, 2020, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. EST on preparing for college and university students and faculty returning to campus.

Webinar: “Ashanti Alert Act Pilot Project”

The Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA) will be hosting a webinar on the Ashanti Alert Act, a national notification system for individuals between the ages of 18 and 64.  As a state leader and coordinator in your state, BJA is asking that you participate in this webinar to discuss the possibility of your state becoming a pilot project state.

2020 NDAA Virtual Summer Summit – The Challenge of Change: Prosecutors Leading the Way

Drawn from his many years of experience with officer-involved shootings, line-of-duty deaths, and “everyday traumas,” Dr. McDougall will provide the audience with the day-to-day incidents that can cause cumulative trauma and complex post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Dr. McDougall will share clinical scenarios that reveal the numerous ways in which officers’ professional and personal lives are impacted by cumulative trauma.
