The Tiffin, Ohio Police Department (PD) requested training on the topic of use of force. Command Presence was selected to fulfill the request and provided the training titled “Decision Making: Foundations of Reasonable Force,” to 136 members of 60 agencies in Ohio, including Tiffin PD, on November 5–6, 2019 in Tiffin, Ohio.
The Tiffin, Ohio Police Department (PD) requested training on the topic of use of force. This request was transferred to a new contract.
NCCJD staff provided a session on effective interactions between law enforcement and people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, with a focus on crisis prevention.
NCCJD conducted the sixth and final Pathways to Justice training of the project period in Ventura County, CA in partnership with The Arc of Ventura County. There were a total of 75 participants. Pre/post testing was conducted and evaluation summary is reported in deliverable inventory.
NCCJD conducted the fifth Pathways to Justice training of 2017 in Austin, TX in partnership with The Arc of Texas (state chapter). There were a total of 95 participants. Pre/post testing was conducted and evaluation summary is reported in deliverable inventory.
NCCJD hosted 13 web-ex or phone call meetings with Disability Response Teams to effectively prepare each team for training day (to conduct the one-day Pathways to Justice training). This totaled 16 hours of TA.
NCCJD conducted the fourth Pathways to Justice training of 2017 in The Berkshires in MA in partnership with Berkshire County Arc. There were a total of 56 participants. Pre/post testing was conducted and evaluation summary will be reported in deliverable inventory.
NCCJD conducted the third Pathways to Justice training of 2017 in Leesburg, VA in partnership with The Arc of Loudoun County. There were a total of 115 participants. Pre/post testing was conducted and evaluation summary is reported in deliverable inventory (there were a total of 67 evaluations completed).
NCCJD conducted the second Pathways to Justice training of 2017 in Albuquerque, NM in partnership with The Arc of New Mexico. There were a total of 45 participants. Pre/post testing was conducted and evaluation summary is reported in deliverable inventory.
