NCJA is developing a training to guide SAAs regarding how to use multiple sources of funding to leverage and braid federal resources for maximum impact. The training will include definitions regarding braided and blended funding as well as strategies and resources that states can use to determine whether braiding funding is appropriate for their projects and initiatives. With many states expecting budget cuts in the years to come, this topic is especially important.

The webinar provided an overview of the major components of the Bureau of Justice Assistance’s (BJA) Request for Proposals (RFP), as well as provide examples of each required section. NDCRC directors Dr. Christina Lanier and Dr. Kristen DeVall reviewed tips for strengthening your proposal and identify common mistakes to avoid.

NDCI hosted a webinar with Dr. Brian Meyer on Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT). CPT is an evidence based practice used to treat individuals with PTSD. The webinar provided viewers with an overview of the modality, considerations for its use and resources on where treatment providers can find information on how to implement it into their programs.
