Over the past six (6) months, the IACP met with core staff from the Rio Arriba team a total of three (3) times to provide customized TA. The site discussed the TTT attended by two deputies and expressed a desire to take CRIT from another site before implementing it themselves. They are working on a county-wide CRIT initiative, with the first class scheduled for December and plan to train all deputies by September. Dr. Lanier is excited about integrating this training into the academy and is working on the implementation plan for informal review.

Over the past six (6) months, the IACP met with core staff from the Norton Shores team a total of one (1) time to provide customized TA. Meetings with the hospital involve many stakeholders, leading to communication issues, and they need a more formalized handoff process. The grant has advanced their county significantly and they are exploring other grant options to sustain progress. Officers spend significant time in the ER, and telehealth co-response is used by some agencies to manage calls. They closed out their grant in September 2024.

Over the past six (6) months, the IACP met with core staff from the Mobile team a total of one (1) time to provide customized TA. They are increasing their use of VR through a private vendor to develop a simulator, which is helping build trust with the community and improve officers' de-escalation skills. Training interest has increased, leading to a cultural shift in the agency. They will not be doing an NCE so the Mobile site closed out their grant and our TTA support in September of 2024.

Over the past six (6) months, the IACP met with core staff from the Madison County team a total of four (4) times to provide customized TA. Progress has been slow due to struggling to hire a coordinator position which is integral to the program. A one-year extension has been approved, and they are waiting for county commission approval to move forward with hiring a project coordinator. Training classes are going well, with plans for additional advanced classes and a TTT session. They have trained 122 fire department personnel and are collecting data from pre/post surveys.

IACP staff have periodically checked in with them to see if there is any customized TA we could offer or support their project. Site has been made aware that the TTA team is available for calls, emails, or virtual meetings as needed or desired.
