Aurora PD reached out to Joan Brody for assistance in applying for a body-worn cameras grant. During the course of this conversation, Joan recognized the potential that Aurora PD has the potential to gain access to more private and public funding.
The Las Vegas, Nevada Municipal Court requested assistance to review its current case management data and rearrest patterns related to domestic violence and driving under the influence. The Pretrial Justice Institute was selected to fulfill the request and conducted an offsite review of Las Vegas's data in August 2020. PJI provided a report to Las Vegas Municipal Court in August 2020 with an assessment of the data and recommendations.
Toledo PSP requested travel support for representatives to attend the Foundations of Intelligence Analysis Training (FIAT).The requestor withdrew the request.
The Palmyra, Pennsylvania Police Department (PD) requested human trafficking training. BJA NTTAC denied this request.
The Cathedral City, California Police Department (PD) requested a crime analysis assessment. OnPoint Analytics was selected to fulfill the request and conducted an assessment between January 2020 and April 2020. OnPoint Analytics delivered a final recommendations report to Cathedral City PD in March 2020.
Travis County is requesting assistance with analyzing and addressing the rising jail population and to better understand the increase of racial and ethnic minority bookings. They need assistance with reviewing their current law enforcement practices and to further their knowledge in the increase of minority arrests. By updating the SIM and jail booking data, Travis County will be able to identify effective pre-arrest/pre-booking strategies for implementation.

PJI provided a report to Las Vegas Municipal Court in January 2020 with an assessment of the data and recommendations.
Cathedral City, California Police Department requested crime analysis on demand. The engagement was transferred to a new contract.
The 12th Judicial District of Colorado requested a prosecution assessment. Prosecutors' Center for Excellence was selected to fulfill the request and provided a prosection assessment. The prosecution assessment occurred in 2020 and involved judges, defense attorneys, community leaders, elected officials, and police. Prosecutors' Center for Excellence delivered the final report to the 12th Judicial District of Colorado in August 2020.
The St. Francois County, Missouri Prosecuting Attorney's Office requested assistance through BJA NTTAC to enhance its the office’s operations and prepare a report detailing recommendations and best prosecutorial practices in the following areas: office organization and structure, case processing and quality of work, training, and evaluation, and addressing their current heroin and opioid issues. Kris Hamann was selected to facilitate the assistance and conducted a two-day onsite visit with the agency in November 2019 and January 2020.
