Substance use disorders are most often accompanied by a history of trauma and mental health disorders. How can we promote recovery in all areas, especially when engaging with and treating youth and young adults?

In 2014, the National Center for Campus Public Safety (NCCPS) was charged in the Not Alone report (PDF) to develop a training program on trauma-informed sexual assault investigation and adjudication that includes Title IX training for campus officials. To meet this mandate, we worked with nationally-recognized subject matter experts in the fields of sexual and gender-based violence investigations, Ti­­tle IX, the Clery Act, due process, victim's advocacy, student conduct, and neurobiology to develop and deliver this groundbreaking curriculum.
