At DHS’s request, IIR provided staff support to a CICC task team, tasked with developing an annual threat assessment template for fusion centers. This template will be used by fusion centers to create continuity among the National Network of Fusion Centers in the reporting out of threats in their respective jurisdiction, to aid in better exchange of information between fusion centers and to support an increased understanding of the national threat pictures. A task team meeting was held on June 28, 2017, in San Francisco, California.

On September 27-30, 2016, at DHS and the NSI PMO’s request, IIR provided logistical assistance and travel support for one NSI business support representative to provide technical assistance support to the Dallas Fusion Center and North Central Texas Fusion Center.

On September 22 and 23, 2016, Mr. Phil Ramer, Nationwide Suspicious Activity Reporting (SAR) Initiative (NSI) Executive Support Specialist, coordinated two NSI Technical Assistance (TA) deliveries on behalf of the Central Florida Intelligence Center and the International Drive Resort Area Chamber of Commerce, at the request of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security's National Protections and Programs Directorate.

On September 13, 2016, Mr. Phil Ramer, Nationwide Suspicious Activity Reporting (SAR) Initiative (NSI) Executive Support Specialist, coordinated an NSI Technical Assistance (TA) Delivery for the West Virginia Intelligence Fusion Center (WVIFC). The delivery was part of WVIFC's Terrorism Liaison Officer Training Seminar and included an overview of the NSI and the eGuardian system. Privacy concerns, the NSI's suite of online trainings, and the sixteen behaviors as articulated in the Functional Standard 1.5.5 were also discussed.

The Fusion Center Exchange Program provides subject-matter expertise in facilitating the exchange of best practices and lessons learned between fusion centers across the country and assists in the development of a national network of fusion centers. This exchange was for one Texas Joint Crime Information Center personnel member to visit the San Diego Law Enforcement Coordination Center.

This exchange was for three New York State Intelligence Center personnel to visit the El Paso Multi-Agency Tactical Response Information Exchange.

On January 26, 2016, Mr. Monte McKee, Nationwide Suspicious Activity Reporting (SAR) Initiative (NSI) Executive Support Specialist, coordinated an NSI Technical Assistance (TA) Delivery for the Indiana Intelligence Fusion Center (IIFC). The purpose of the TA was twofold: to address privacy concerns related to the NSI program and use of the SAR Data Repository (SDR) and to provide an NSI New Director Briefing to the new IIFC Director and leadership team.

IIR provided logistical and travel reimbursement support for certain participants to attend specific events. On November 2, 2015, such support was provided for 47 fusion center representatives to attend the Fusion Center Director's Strategy Day in Springfield, Virginia.
