On May 6 and May 24, ACHA and Vera held the initial meetings of the family reentry workgroup. Vera worked with the site to develop and co-facilitate two 60-minute Zoom meetings with reentry service providers, resident leaders, homeless services agencies, police, community corrections, and people with justice-involvement. Vera designed these meetings to be an opportunity to hear what needs a reentry program would address in Allegheny County.

Erica Crew and Jacqueline Altamirano Marin held regular meetings with the site leads and partners at BHA to discuss progress of the initiative. The meetings took place on a semi regular basis approximately every two weeks, starting on January 15, 2021 and continuing through the end of June.

Held as one of three annual CICC membership meetings. This meeting was originally planned to be held as part of the IACP annual conference. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the meeting was moved to a virtual space. The meeting included an update related to the nationwide Ashanti Alert System, 28 CFR Part 23 Training Refresh, an information security presentation by Facebook, INC., a DHS NTER Program update, and a Western Crime Gun Intelligence Working Group update.

Held as one of six annual GAC meetings. The meeting provided updates related to the 28 CFR Part 23 website and training refresh, a presentation on the use of Automated License Plate Reader Technology by local and state law enforcement agencies; a presentation on promising practices related to body-worn camera technology by local law enforcement, and a CICC update.

This virtual meeting was held to explain the task team operation to all members and to ensure that all members had the materials prepared by IIR before they began working within their individual subgroups. During the meeting, task team members received a briefing of the project and several documents related to operation of the task team.

Held as one of six annual GAC meetings. This virtual meeting focused on how law enforcement and criminal justice communities were responding to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic in developing new policies, strategies, and technology implementation related to justice reform and change.

On July 30, 2020 Margaret diZerega gave an interview with the Council of State Governments (CSG). CSG is working with the California Council on Criminal Justice and Behavioral Health (CCJBH) and other stakeholders on defining best practices and policy recommendations to improve outcomes for people with behavioral health needs who are at risk of homelessness as they return from jail and prison.
